What does "sports" at CHESSIE "look" like?

Group K sports 12:00-2:00

Adult leader: Mrs. Lisa Saucerman

Teen leaders: Ella Forister & Jesse Chambers

K group leaders organize the younger student games such as:

1. Duck-duck goose 2. red-light/ green-light 3. dodgeball, games with the parachute, hula hoops and balloons, and different variations of tag.

Groups 2A sports 12:05-2:00

Adult leader: Mrs. Lisa Saucerman

Teen leader: Maya Saucerman (12:05-1:45)

Every week the teen leader organizes a game or 2 or 3 of these games:

1. Sprout ball 2. Kickball 3. Baseball 4. Four-square 5. Non-contact Football 6. Capture the flag with the older, more competitive students int his group. Adult leaders organize the younger student games such as:

1. Duck-duck goose 2. red-light/ green-light 3. dodgeball, games with the parachute, hula hoops and balloons, and different variations of tag.

Good sportsmanship is always expected !

Groups 1 & 2B sports 1:00-3:00

Adult leader: Mrs. Renee Cothran

Teen leaders: Lena Travis, Toby Rinehart (1:00-3:00)

Students in these groups play different games organized by their leaders-- 

Each week students play a running game like freeze tag, sharks and minnows, blob tag, or others to get them moving after science class. Then, a team game like dodgeball, sprout ball, or capture the flag. Some students like to play non-competitive games like jump rope, poison dart frog, statues or others. There’s something for everyone.

Group 4A sports 2:20-4:00

Students in this group can choose to participate in the Presidential Physical fitness class for part of their sports time. The other option is to join in the games on the field with the teen leader, play other games that the students organize such as frisbee, dodgeball, 4-square, basketball, or games with hoola hoops. Students also use this time to visit with friends and get to know eachother better. 

Group 4B sports 1:00-2:30 & 3:25-4:00

Students in this group can choose to participate in the Presidential Physical fitness class for part of their sports time. The other option is to join in the games on the field or on the paved parking lot with the teen leader, play other games that the students organize such as frisbee, dodgeball, 4-square, basketball, or soccer. Students also use this time to visit with friends and get to know eachother better. 

Life Science sports 1:30-3:30

Students in this group can choose to participate in the Presidential Physical fitness class for part of their sports time. The other option is to join in the games on the field or on the paved parking lot with the teen leader, play other games that the students organize such as frisbee, dodgeball, capture the flag, 4-square, basketball, or soccer. Students also use this time to visit with friends and get to know eachother better. 

High schoool students (physical science, biology, chemistry, physics) sports

Physical science sports 1:30-3:30, Biology sports 1:00-1:45 & 3:00-4:00, Chemistry sports 1:30-3:15, Physics sports 1:30-3:15

Students in these classes join the teen leader on the field or on the pavement in the parking lot for games such as frisbee, capture the flag, dodgeball, 4-square, basketball, soccer. Students also use this time to visit with friends and get to know eachother better.
